Another 1.5 hours after departure from the somewhat chaotic outback airport in Canada and a flight mostly through the clouds and surfing around some thunderstorms and finally across the Great Lakes we reached Sanderson, USA right across the boarder from Canada where we cleared immigration and customs.
If you plan to fly to the US with a private plane you need a Visa and to announce your flight via API online. The immigration officers will then come to the airport of arrival, check the plane, visas and issue the arrival stamp.
After a short break and once all planes and pilots are cleared the journey goes on with a 10 minutes flight to Mackinac Island for dinner before the famous “Warbird” approach into Oshkosh – our final destination and the end of our trip.
